New NHS dentists in answer to poll

With NHS dentists in high demand the new surgery is the result of a £3.1 million cash injection by the primary care trust aimed at improving people’s access to NHS dentists across the county.

The dental surgery is to open in Malmesbury, Wiltshire in the new year, and will cater for 3,000 patients. The move reflected a Mori poll that confirmed that access to dental services was the number one priority for patients in Wiltshire.

The surgery will be an extension of the Primary Care Centre at Burton Hill and will be run by Independent Dental Holdings. The new surgery will be the only full NHS dentist in the town. The two private surgeries have NHS contracts only for those under 18.
